Emergent Reading
Letter Recognition:
- Identifies the names and sounds of most letters of the alphabet.
Phonemic Awareness:
- Hears likenesses and differences in rhyming words.
- Identifies beginning sounds in words.

- Recognizes differences between print, illustrations, letters and words.
